About me
That is how I make my coffee every morning, and how I build software. I learn by taking things apart. It started with a broken phoneWhere it startedI fixed it myself instead of replacing it, and learned that most things can be opened up and understood. I fixed instead of replacing. A job fixing systemsField supportKeeping other people's systems running showed me how they are put together, and made me want to build my own. turned into building them. Today it's software people rely on: a pickleball group2024Its unfair rotation became courtScore: six versions in two years, now running tournaments.'s rotation that became courtScore, and a business2026Its spreadsheets became The Artitech platform, with more than 1,000 automated tests. that moved off spreadsheets onto one platform. Whatever I take on, I see through to the end, and I build it properly.
I earned my engineering degree at McMaster in the evenings, alongside a full-time job. Before software, I played cricket for Tanzania's under-19 team, on tour in Zambia and South Africa. Off the clock, you will find me on a pickleball court.
